Heart of Cool Trail Run

Are you searching for a meaningful race experience while supporting a worthy cause? The HoC 5k, 10k, and half marathon in Cool, California, is the perfect choice. This event directly benefits the youth of the Black Oak Mines Unified School District, promoting their future success through agriculture, engineering, and the visual and performing arts. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds funds scholarships for children to attend Camp Taylor, a camp dedicated to youth with heart disease.Participants can expect unique perks, including a HoC cotton t-shirt or a BOCO Gear trucker hat. This family-friendly event welcomes participants of all ages. Enjoy a family discount package for the 5k and 10k distances, and take advantage of child care services for children aged 3 and up, available at a nominal fee. After the race, join us for a delightful pancake breakfast.

The Heart of Cool Trail Run showcases some of Cool, CA's and the Sierra Foothills' most scenic trails, the same paths used by prestigious events like the Western States 100 Mile, Way Too Cool 50k, and Rio Del Lago 100 Mile.

To promote sustainability, this event is cup-free. Participants should bring a refillable cup or water bottle for use at aid stations.

Packet pickup is conveniently located at The Auburn Aid Station the day before and on race day morning, where participants will also receive their race bibs.
