GotRun Trail Fest

Get ready to break away from the winter blues and set off on an exciting adventure along the Gothic Trail of Eastern Gotland! Run Raisers together with Wisby Ultralöparförening (WULF) are proud to invite you to the 2nd edition of GotRun Winter Trail 2023. The race will take place on Saturday, March 18th, and we promise you an experience that you won't soon forget! We aim to bring together a group of runners, both rookies and experienced, for a day of running and good company. Our trails are sure to provide you with the perfect opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature, and to take in the fascinating history of the East Coast of Gotland. The terrain will be soft and nice, making for the best running conditions in Sweden at this time of year. As an added bonus, a portion of the registration fee will be donated to the Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation Barndiabetesfonden. Last year, we were able to raise an incredible 27,794 SEK for the charity! Base camp for the race is the seaside resort of Ljugarn on the East coast of Gotland. The course will follow the Östkustleden and include an extra loop of great trails in the woods of Ljugarn. The Östkustleden is marked with orange signs on stones/trees/poles. We offer three distances: KORTE (36 km), ENKLE (50 miles/80km), and DUBBLE (100 miles/161km). The first two distances will begin on Saturday the 18th at 7:00 and 11:00 respectively, while the DUBBLE will start on Friday the 17th at 20:00. Participants can pick up their start bib and goodie bag on Friday the 17th from 17:30-19:30 at Pensionat Lövängen (Storvägen 64, 623 65 Ljugarn), or on Saturday the 18th from 8:30-9:30 or at the start of the KORTE.
