Fall Backyard Burn Trail Run - Pohick Bay

Experience the beauty of a race course located south of the Capital Beltway in Lorton, featuring a blend of forested and open meadow singletrack across 1600 acres of historic land. The race begins and concludes at the former Lorton Reformatory's Workhouse Arts Center, noted for its iconic old guard towers. The trail, mostly singletrack with dirt and crushed stone, offers non-technical terrain with numerous short ups and downs. Minimal pavement sections occur at the start and finish. Participants have the opportunity to support the local non-profit Homestretch during registration, aiming to raise awareness and funds for family services.
