Brigance Brigade Foundation's 5.7K Championship Race & 1.57 Mile Walk

Join us for the 12th Annual 5.7K Championship Race and 1.57 Mile Family Fun Run / Walk - back as a live race in 2024 and returning to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore!

Race time: 8:00 am start time

We've creating a whole new course for you to run/walk 5.7K or 1.57 miles among the exhibits and animals at the zoo! At the finish line, enjoy our traditional celebration village, and then make a day of it by spending it at the zoo.  Along with your medal, race shirt, and swag, your 5.7K and 1.57M registration includes admission to the zoo (same day admission only). Our Kid's Fun Run will feature a short distance in the celebration area - perfect for the little ones in your family. Zoo admission is included in the Kid's Run!

All race packets will be mailed to those who register by April 14, 2024. Those registering after April 14, 2024 will need to pick up packets on race day. All Virtual runners will have their packets mailed out, regardless of registration date.  

* Dogs - due to Maryland Zoo regulations, dogs (except for registered service animals) are not allowed on the course or in the Celebration area. 

Parking is included at the Zoo.

Post-race water and snacks will be available after the race.Option to purchase brunch - prepared on-site - by Jimmy's Famous Seafood. 

At our live race on 4/27/2024 we ask you to walk or run in honor of the lives and legacies of all those who have been impacted by ALS. If you're not yet comfortable in a group environment, or just can't be with us on race day, please participate as a Virtual Racer. Use of the RaceJoy app makes submitting your results easy - look for details as we get closer to race day.

Fundraising and team options are available during registration.

Like many small businesses, our nonprofit organization has been affected by the COVID-19 global health crisis. As a community organization that serves an extremely vulnerable population, we are seeing the everyday impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the families we serve – family resources are strained, in-home care opportunities are limited, and primary caregivers risk sickness by leaving their home to go to work or attend to their everyday needs.

Each year, we rely on our annual events as a primary source of funding. We hope you will join us in 2024. We are stronger together!
