Big Creek Shorties - GA

Big Creek Shorties is a short track mountain bike race consisting of multiple laps on a 1-1.5km course at Big Creek Park.  Each event is 20-25 minutes of fast paced, heart pounding, all out racing. Riders may compete in their age group, the open category, single speed, and unicycle all on the same day.  These races are best suited for cross country style bikes, but any bike powered solely by a human engine will do (sorry, no e-bikes). Races are short so go ahead and race more than once! All race proceeds go to maintaining the amazing trails at Big Creek. Mixed Relay consists of teams of 2-4 riders, male and female.  Males and females must complete the same number of laps. Please note that categories may be combined on race day depending on registration numbers. We encourage racers to arrive with plenty of time to get checked in and settled in for their category race time in case of changes in the line up. Race HQ will be located in the main Big Creek parking lot located at 1600 Old Alabama Road, Roswell, GA 30076. Food will be available for purchase onsite.  Tentative Event Schedule:

9:30 AM: Junior 14 & Under Female Base/Sport/Expert, and Junior 14 & Under Male Base/Sport/Expert

10:00 AM: Junior 18 & Under Female Base, and Junior 18 & Under Male Base

10:30 AM: Junior 18 & Under Female Sport, and Junior 18 & Under Male Sport

11:00 AM: Junior 18 & Under Male Expert

11:30 AM: Junior 18 & Under Female Expert

11:50 AM : 10 & Under Race

12:00 PM: Open Male Base

12:10 PM: Kids Race on Sleepy Hollow

12:30 PM: Open Male Sport, Open Male Expert

1:00 PM: Open Female Base

1:30 PM: Open Female Sport, Open Female Expert

2:00 PM: Masters 40-49 Female, Masters 40-49 Male

2:30 PM: Masters 50-59 Female, Masters 50-59 Male

3:00 PM: Masters 60-69 Fermale, Masters 60-69 Male

3:30 PM: Unicycle

4:00 PM: Single Speed Female, Single Speed Male

Categories may be combined based on registration numbers on the day of the event.
