Baileys Dirt Fondo

Join the Baileys Dirt Fondo, a thrilling singletrack adventure tailored for athletes who love a challenge. Inspired by the Italian "Gran Fondo," this event offers a mix of casual rides between optional timed segments and intense Strava KOM/QOM challenges. Throughout the courses, rest stops will provide local treats to keep your energy levels high for the trails.The Baileys Trail System, located in the Wayne National Forest, promises an exhilarating ride with its planned 88-mile mountain-bike optimized paths, currently boasting 58 miles open to the public. Upon completion, it will be the longest contiguous mountain bike trail system east of the Mississippi River.

This event supports the development and management of the Baileys Trail System and the efforts of the Outdoor Recreation Council of Appalachia (ORCA) and its partner, the Athens-Wayne Outdoor Asset Development Corporation (AWOADC). Race Schedule:
- Black Diamond / Long Course: 41 miles with 4 segments and challenges
- Blue Square / Medium Course: 22 miles with 2 segments and challenges
- Green Circle / Short Course: 11 miles with 1 segment and challenge
- Youth/Family Fun Ride: 5 miles, fully timed

All races start at Chauncey-Dover Park Trailhead. Arrive 15 minutes before your race for a mandatory pre-race meeting. Riders must be self-sufficient between rest stops, navigating singletrack trails and gravel roads. Strava segment challenges are back, with surprise locations revealed only on the trail.
