Bad Dog 5000

Hello and welcome back to the Bad Dog 5,000! This is our 3rd year hosting this event and we are excited to see you all again this year. The race will leave the Carryit in Ottawa and follow the course used for the annual Turkey Trot, returning to the Carryit for the finish. Good food and cold beer and beverages afterwards while we do the awards ceremony. Best of all… 100% of the proceeds go to the Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program. Medals for the top 3 finishers in all male and female age groups, as well as a special award for the overall best male and female runners! 🔥👌
This is a family friendly 5k so bring the whole family! Run, walk, push a stroller… it doesn’t matter. Everyone is welcome. You can even register, skip running, and still get the shirt and come hang out for the fellowship! No judgment for an event like this. LOL
This event has and always will be in memory or our dear friend Sam Nienberg, but we lost another sister to cancer this past year, Carol Miller. So this year the race is in honor of both these ladies as well as all those still going through their fight against cancer right now.
