New For 2024 - Road Bike Category – You can choose to race either TT Bike or Road Bike for all of the categories.
Road Bike Definition - A road bike can possess drop or straight handlebars; no tri-bars, clip-on bars or Spinaci bars are allowed; no disc wheels; both front & rear wheels must have at least 12 spokes each; the maximum rim depth allowed is 90mm.  Note: the spirit of this new Road Bike category is to encourage more participation in MATTS events by creating a more even playing field for racers who don’t have a TT bike. In general, if your bike would be eligible for a road race or a criterium, it would qualify for the Road Bike category.

Directions to check-in site - Route to 225 Pearl St, Maple Park, IL 60151 (Lions Park)

Parking instructions - After checking in, please do not park around Lions Park.  Please park on Maple Park Road, west of W County Line Road.

Course description - Start line is on Washington Street in between Kane St. and Maiden Lane, on the north side of Lions Park.  Course starts heading east on Washington St. and turns left (north) on Broadway St.  Follow Broadway as it curves right (east) and turns into Thatcher.  Follow Thatcher as it bends back north to Beith Road.  Turn right on Beith Road and proceed approximately .8 miles to turnaround.  Turnaround and reverse course to finish which is on Thatcher, approximately .4 miles before the start line.

Please understand that the course is open to traffic so be careful particularly at intersections.  Ride to the right side of the road.

We highly recommend using a rear red blinking light.

Please respect our host community by leaving the site cleaner than when you arrived, keeping noise to a minimum and using Porta Potties.
