Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2015 presentation was held in Kyiv during which the organizers of the greatest running event in the history of Ukrainian sport revealed the interesting details of the upcoming marathon. On September, 27 the Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2015 will gather over eight thousands people at different distance. We also expect about 25 thousand observers. An interest in our city and our marathon is growing each year that was obvious during the spring halfmarathon. This year race is unique, first of all, by its route. This time we had a task to make a route picturesque and bright to attract a greater number of sportsmen from Ukraine and other countries. Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2015 participants would run through – Khreshchatyk, Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II, Paton’s bridge, Podil, Rusanivka, Besarabka and other landscaped in the capital downtown. «We understand that the route with 42,195 km circle is very serious organizational load, – Dmitro Chernitsky, the general manager of Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2015, noted. — So, we approached the subject of route development very responsibly – we thoroughly planned a place of food points, force recovery points, musical support, medical services and massage. The main our distances are: 42,195 km classical marathon, 10 km, two relay races for people who are not ready to run the full route – so-called “4 by 10” and “2 by 21”. Of course, we do not leave our beginners without our attention, we offer 5 km route for them. And for sure, one of the most important elements of our race is the 2 km charitable race. What concerns the sports part, traditionally we invite the famous sportsmen, try to involve more Ukrainian runners». In agreeing with the city administration, on September 27 the traffic at the streets of Kyiv, where the marathon route lies, would be closed gradually, depending upon the movement of runners to fully satisfy the needs of the race participants, capital drivers and public transport users. To inform about the event as much as possible inhabitants, we will attract not only press, television and external advertising, but advertisements in the capital underground. The Organizational committee of Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2015 takes care about the health of sportsmen, and this time it offers to take an additional examination in the sports medicine doctors to determine a level of physical fitness of a sportsman. By means of functional and loading test to determine a body tolerance to specific sports, marathon or halfmarathon. At first a sportsman should come with a certificate from the place of residence proving he does not have the chronic diseases which could prevent him from participating in the competition. After that a sports medicine expert makes a test and definitively determines whether a runner is suitable for a specific discipline. The test itself will take about 50 minutes. On the day of start a runner should arrive with a certificate-permission to the completion. In case there are controversial issues regarding the certificate, the Organizational committee directly would settle the conflict situations. Additional element we offer for our participants is an insurance against accidents at the route. If any insurance event occurs during the marathon, injured persons will be able to receive financial compensation necessary for health recovery. Traditionally Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon will be also a charitable event. Yes, the funds raised during 2 km race will be sent to help cancer-stricken children. Summarizing all above-mentioned information it is possible and necessary to expect Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2015 will become an unprecedented event for the Ukrainian sports taking into consideration its scale, level of organization and social message. A sporting exhibition SportExpoUA will change greatly – it will last 2 days and include exhibition and lection parts. Registration for Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon 2015 will be available to 15 of September.
