About the event

Discover the unique experience of running through the magnificent Parmesan Appenines, on ancient paths and routes in an environment that UNESCO declared as “Man & Biosphere Reserve”. Whether running on mountain trails or winding through the woods, views of marvelous landscapes await you. Five routes of varying difficulty are available, the longest of which stretches 68 kilometers in semi-autonomy in the lands of the Parma "food valley", an experience for true trail running enthusiasts. As some of the routes are quite challenging, it is essential to have a good physical preparation, careful training, a real capacity for personal autonomy, and knowledge of the mountains. With ITRA and UTMB certifications, running the Tartufo routes is a valuable addition to any international traveler's to do list.

The routes of Tartufo Running are part of the Toscan-Emilian Appenines, that whose declared "Man & Biosphere Reserve" by UNESCO on 9 Juine 2015, an importat award thet promotes and confirms a balanced relationship between "Man and Biosphere" and between our community and the cosystems of this Region. The race takes us to enchanted places, such us the peaks of Mount Sporno and Montagnana, the gulleys of Salti del Diavolo ( the Devil's leap), place like Via degli Scalpellini and Via Francigena, deep within woods of splendid autumn coulors and semi-wildness of the fields
