Experience the breathtaking and rugged landscapes of South Dakota’s Black Hills at the Run Crazy Horse Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5-Person Relay. Starting at the iconic Crazy Horse Memorial and finishing in Hill City, this race offers athletes an incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in the region's natural beauty and historical significance. The course highlights key attractions such as the awe-inspiring Crazy Horse Memorial, a monumental tribute to the Oglala Lakota warrior, and the renowned Mount Rushmore National Monument. By participating, you’ll not only challenge yourself physically but also support a great cause, as the event raises funds for Habitat for Humanity and the American Heart Association. Note that the Crazy Horse Memorial is a unique non-profit project, relying solely on admissions and donations, with special guidelines for photography. The Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation welcomes all athletes and wishes you an inspiring and successful race.

Credit : Run Crazy Horse Marathon, Half Marathon and 5 Person Marathon Relay
Marathon
The victory went to David Martinez who crossed the finish line at 02:57:46. He bested James Sullivan who crossed the finish line 47 secondes behind him. Rounding out the top three was Steven Leonhardt with a time of 03:03:12.
For the women, it was Melanie Allen (03:21:43) taking the top spot, ahead of Kirsten Law (03:53:03). The third place went to Lynn Akins with a time of 03:54:53

David Martinez outpaced more then 595 runners to win in 02:57:46. He finished 47 secondes ahead of James Sullivan. The third place went to Steven Leonhardt with a time of 03:03:12
For the women, Melanie Allen scored victory with a time of 03:21:43 , followed by Kirsten Law who finished with a time of 03:53:03. Finishing third was Lynn Akins (03:54:53).
