About the event
Thanks to our amazing sponsors!!!
Venue and Course:
Rockburn Cross is located within Rockburn Branch Park; a multi-use facility situated conveniently off I-95 in the Baltimore/Washington Corridor. There is a playground adjacent to the main course and the Li'l Belgian's course. Weather permitting, the Rockburn Skills Park will be open and is a challenge for anyone but can also be an all-ages family activity. There will be a beer garden with offerings from Jailbreak Brewing and 2 Bold Chefs will be on hand with delicious Mediterranean food.
AFC strives to provide the best CX course in the Mid-Atlantic and those who have raced here would agree it's always a challenge! There are super-fast woods sections, power sections, some(never enough!) downhill recovery, hills and multiple areas with sand/gravel. It's a course that suits everyone at least part of the time!
Registration, Entry Fees, & Licensing:
All registration and payment for this event, including race day registration, will be conducted through BikeReg. Addtional entries are offered at $20 ($25 on race day) when purchased in the same BikeReg shopping cart. If the entries are purchased separately during the pre-registration period, contact us for a partial refund; on event day a coupon code will be made available at the day-of registration table to achieve the same discounted price. Entry fees will increase to $50 for adults and $30 for Junior Men & Women for race day registration, to reflect the day-of surcharge. There will be no in-person sales at the event -- register online, either at home before coming out or on your phone at the event. You MUST present your racing license (if you have one) or 1-Day receipt in order to be issued a bib, and you should also be prepared to show your confirmation email. In order to expedite your entry, make sure you have completed the online waiver before approaching the day-of registration table.
This page will re-open for day-of registration by 6 AM; check-in will open by 7 AM. Check-in and registration for all races will close 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the race. There will be no exceptions made to this rule -- plan to show up timely for the race you want to enter.
U19 Men & Women may race in any class they qualify for by Cyclocross category, but remain eligible for the Junior entry fee. U19 Men & Women ONLY may use coupon code RBX2024_JRS at checkout to receive the Junior pricing for non-Junior races; for race day entry, the day-of surcharge will be applied as appropriate. Any current National Cyclocross Champions shall be granted free entry, but must wear their national jersey in the class in which it was won.
A USA Cycling racing license is required for entry. Riders who do not provide a USAC Annual racing license # at registration will be assessed an additional $15 for a Beginner 1-Day license. This license is valid for entry only in fields that are open to Novice Men, Women, or Non-Binary riders. For all other fields, you must present proof of an active USAC racing license (or a printed Authorization to Ride) showing your Cyclocross category and Racing Age.
Staging & Call Ups:
Staging is conducted by bib number. Cat. 5 Men and Cat. 4/5 Women’s races are assigned bibs based on entry date & time. All other races are assigned bibs according to Super Series points standings for the first 8 positions and CrossResults.com rankings for the remainder of pre-registered riders.
