Rockbridge Gravel Grinder

On Saturday October 26th at 10am ride the scenic back country roads of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Three routes of 62, 42 and 32 miles to choose from. These route are 63-75% unpaved in the beautiful rolling hills of the farmland of Augusta and Rockbridge Counties between Staunton and Lexington. There will be rest stops in historic Brownsburg. Rides start and finish at the Rockbridge Vineyard and Brewery in Raphine VA. All riders will be provided with a free T-shirt, post-ride meal, and either a glass of wine or beer.

ROUTE NAVAIGATION:

In past Rockbridge Gravel Grinder events there have always been issues with tampering, destruction and removal of bike-route directional signage. In order to eliminate these known problems there will be NO directional signage placed on the routes. Please take noticed that it will be your responsibility to navigate your route. Below are links to maps for all the RGG routes. These links will allow for exporting the appropriate navigational files to your device or phone. For those that don’t have a navigational device, Komoot is an excellent free phone App that will provide GPS routing with audible voice commands once navigation files are loaded. If you don’t have either a device or phone please follow another rider who does, or download clue sheets from the route links. Please prepare yourself for successful navigation. Your patience and understanding while self navigating the route is greatly appreciated!
