Since 2012, the Moor to Sea Sportive has challenged and inspired cyclists across some of Devon’s most scenic and punishing terrain. This beloved early-season sportive offers riders a choice of three demanding yet rewarding routes. Starting from the edge of Dartmoor, cyclists will experience stunning moorland, rolling countryside, and coastal views while tackling a course designed to test both legs and lungs. The Inspire Route (36 miles / 57 km) offers 2,444 ft (745 m) of ascent – ideal for those seeking a manageable challenge. The Challenge Route (64 miles / 103 km) raises the stakes with 5,600 ft (1,700 m) of climbing, while the Extreme Route (110 miles / 177 km) pushes riders to their limits with nearly 10,000 ft (3,000 m) of elevation and gradients peaking at 20%. Whichever route you choose, all riders will finish with a tough final climb, reminiscent of the punchy, explosive racing suited for the likes of Allaphilippe or Gilbert at their peak.
