Mattapoisett Tour de Crème

Welcome again to the Mattapoisett Tour de Crème , our annual fundraiser for hiking and biking trails in Mattapoisett. We are pleased to offer three entertaining rides again in 2024.

The Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Rail Trail are sponsoring  the 6th Annual Tour de Crème on May 19th. a fundraising event combining SouthCoast’s fabulous cycling with some of its best ice cream spots. With scenic routes of 9, 22 and 45 miles, there’s a creamery tour for everyone. Eight participating creameries will be scooping up ice cream to fuel your ride. Your participation will help create and maintain hiking and biking trails in Mattapoisett.

The creamery tours start from Mattapoisett Town Beach between 10 am and 12 noon, rain or shine. They end at the Land Trust’s Munro Waterfront Preserve at the head of Mattapoisett Harbor. There participants will enjoy lobster rolls and hot food, beer and cold beverages, more ice cream, and live music at the post-ride party!

This is not just a social event; it is an important charity fundraiser for both organizations. For that reason, we have a fundraising requirement of $50 for all adults. After registering all participants, including youth, will be taken to the PledgeReg website to set up a fundraising page. A minimum contribution of $50 is required for all adults. We also require that youth create an account but they will not be charged if they do not meet the minimum. Note: Funds raised by youth can be used to meet the requirement of a sponsoring adult. 

This is our largest annual public fundraiser in support of building and maintaining biking and hiking trails in Mattapoisett. Donations can be made through the PledgeReg site or by sending a checks to the Mattapoisett Land Trust. By registering as an adult you are agreeing to raising at least the requested amount or to having your credit card charged for the balance necessary to meet the minimum subsequent to the Ride. Encourage your family and friends to contribute in support of our local trail work.
