Fall Foliage and Cider

Join us for the 51st Annual Fall Foliage & Cider Run on Saturday, October 14, 2023!

The Fall Foliage & Cider Run is a community celebration of Amherst A Better Chance, a residential high school program that prepares academically talented young men of color from educationally underserved school districts for college and future leadership roles. 

Run or walk to support Amherst A Better Chance and enjoy a cup of cider at the finish line!

The walk/run starts at Amherst Town Common, partly circles Amherst College campus and enters the woodlands of The Amherst College bird sanctuary, highlighted by a beautiful view over the Pelham Hills. Finally, it follows the Norwottuck Rail Trail back to the campus.

Event Day:

8:30 am Registration for 5K Run and Walk begins

9:30 am 5K Walk begins

10:00 am 5K Run begins

11:00 am–2 pm: Food, entertainment, and many fun activities!

Prizes will be announced after the race for the following categories:

Fastest female, male, and nonbinary runners in each age group (0-12yrs, 13-19yrs, 20-29yrs, 30-39yrs, 40-49yrs, 50-59yrs, 60-69, 70+)Fastest teamTop FundraiserTop Fundraising Team
