About the event
CHECK-IN, PACKET PICK-UP AND DAY OF REGISTRATIONS BEGIN AT 8:00 a.m.
RESCUE • RESTORE • EDUCATE • PROTECT • PREVENT We have a big vision to make an impact locally, in our state and across this nation, that will help those affected by child trafficking and to help protect potential victims. Participants can run, walk, or do both at our event. Whether you are a competitive runner who strives to get the best 5K time or a casual walker who wants to support our event - we welcome everyone at every level of participation to our Color Run event! When you move through our blasts of color, you and your family will help protect the purity and innocence of ALL children by raising awareness about the dangers of online predators.
We know that we can do so much more together than we could ever do alone. We need EVERYDAY HEROES like you! When you participate in our 8th annual Everyday Heroes 5K Color Run and 1 Mile Walk, you will you be a voice for the voiceless.
Super Dave DJ will be spinning the latest tunes at our high energy event Stony Creek will be giving a $2 discount to our participants for their 50' water slide The Michigan State Police and the Oakland County Sheriff partner with us to provide information and tips about how to keep children safe Mrs. Michigan 2022 will be speaking about her sister who was a victim of human trafficking for 15 years and will be available for photos and conversation with the community Our Raffle will include tons of fun prizes for kids and adults alike We also educate parents and members of the community about how children are affected by social media, gaming, coercion, and peer pressure We have a great after-party celebration and food Everyone will have a blast as we end the event with a with a GIANT COLOR EXPLOSION The overall top male and female finishers will win a prize worth $50.00 For those who are competing, medals will be awarded to the first-place male and female finishers of the 5K Color Run. The first 100 finishers will also receive a medal In-person racers will receive a T-shirt (if registered by July 4) or can opt out and the funds will go towards the cause
This event is considered a road race and walking and racing take place on paved surfaces at the beautiful Stony Creek Park. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to join us.
So much has changed in our world in the last couple years. But the trafficking of children hasn't stopped during this unprecedented time in our history. It has actually spiked. Vulnerable children still need our help! We are committed to continuing our efforts to make an impact. RESCUE • RESTORE • EDUCATE • PROTECT. Will you answer a child's call for help?

Literature on protecting your children from human trafficking and online predators will be available.**
All proceeds are donated to Dayspring Ministries International, a non-profit 501c3 organization.
We will hold a raffle to help raise funds for our cause. We support local business and have lots of amazing prizes for all ages. Ticket are $1 each, 6 for $5, and 12 for $10. Purchase your tickets and select which items you are interested in winning!
