Atlas Marathon

The Atlas Marathon is a high-altitude endurance race through the UNESCO-listed M’Goun Geopark, starting in Aït Bouguemez, the “Happy Valley.” The course takes runners through remote Berber villages, across rugged mountain trails, and up to the 4,068m summit of M’Goun, with sweeping views over deep valleys and the Sahara’s edge.

This race is more than a challenge—it’s an immersion into the culture and landscapes of the High Atlas. Open to both elite athletes and adventure seekers, the event champions community, sustainability, and heritage. Participants race not just for the thrill but to support local initiatives and highlight the region’s natural and cultural significance.
