Whitehills 5K

Welcome!

The sixth annual Whitehills 5K Run/Walk is back and will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023. The course will be measured and chip-timed. There is also a free half-mile Kids Fun Run (registration is necessary). Race proceeds will go toward needs identified by Whitehills Elementary School, which serves a diverse population. About 25% of Whitehills students receive free and reduced lunch; race profits allow the Whitehills School Association to serve the needs of our entire student population (see recently funded projects here). Come and enjoy the beautiful tree-lined streets through the Whitehills neighborhood and enjoy refreshments after the race. All ages and abilities welcome! We Are Back!

After a break from 2020 - 2022 due to the pandemic, we are back and excited to run around our beautiful neighborhood, all to support the students at Whitehills Elementary. Since the race was last run in 2019 a lot of changes have been made. The school was rebuilt starting in 2019 and completed in 2020. New features have been added such as an outdoor learning space, solar panels and the support of 21st century learning for the kids.

Course Notes Street 5K: This is a fast course with a couple of gentle hills, and is a great course for novice runners, younger participants, senior racers, and anyone in between! Strollers are welcome (will start in back of main group), but no dogs allowed unless they are service animals.
