Team Torrez 5k

Join The Runnin’ Roosters at Crazy Rooster Brewing Company on Sunday, August 18, 2024, to run or walk as Team Torrez to remember our dear friend, Tim Torrez. Tim was a co-founder of Crazy Rooster Brewing Company and started the Runnin' Roosters Run Club there at the brewery.

Tim's battle with cancer was fierce but short. We were all stunned and devastated. He was truly a one of a kind human being with his beautiful heart, generous spirit, want for adventure, and silly, fun nature. He had a seemingly effortless gift for happy conversation with the ability to make anyone around him feel comfortable and welcome. To say he will be missed just doesn't capture the feeling. There will be a hole in our hearts without him that will never be filled. 

This will be the first Team Torrez 5k and Fun Walk and we are hoping to make this an annual event. This year is so very special since it will be held on the anniversary of his passing. All proceeds will be donated to pancreatic cancer research in memory of Tim. Registrants will receive a special Team Torrez pint glass at check in the morning of the race.

This is a no frills, no chip, open course race. Remember to use caution as there may be some light traffic. It will consist of our usual Runnin' Roosters route through the business complex and Crazy Rooster Brewing Company. The Fun Walk is a single lap, the 5k is 2 laps. Cheers!
