Tea Party Distance Classic & Run for Radcliffe

This year's annual Chestertown Tea Party Distance Classic and Run for Radcliffe is almost here! Online registration closes on Thursday, May 25th at midnight. Registration will be available at Radcliffe Creek School on Friday, May 27th, from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm, or starting at 6:45 am on Saturday at Chestertown's Wilmer Park.

Packet Pickup

Pre-registration packet pick-up will be held on Friday, May 27th, at Radcliffe Creek School from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm in the school library. The school's address is: 
201 Talbot Blvd. Chestertown, MD 21620. For those who cannot attend the Packet Pick-Up party (or live rather far from Chestertown), there will be a tent for pre-registration packet pick-up on the morning of the race at Wilmer Park, beginning at 6:45 am. 

With your packet you will find a running number (called a bib) that we need you to pin on the FRONT of your clothing. We ask that you do not fold or bend the bib as there is an electronic tracker on the back. By having the bib on the front, we are able to give you the most accurate timing available and, if we happen to grab photos of you on the course, you will be able to find yourself, thanks to the bib number!

FAQ

The 10-Miler will start at 8:00 am and the 5K will begin at 8:10 am.
Note: Cross Street will be CLOSED at Cannon Street around 7:30 am.

This event is professionally timed by TCR Management. Results will be available at a kiosk by the Finish line, or you can check your registration page after the race.

There is no parking near Wilmer Park! Please be mindful when planning your morning!

Shuttle buses will be running from Radcliffe Creek School to Wilmer Park, beginning at 6:30 am on Saturday. Click here for Tea Party events and shuttle schedule.

The 5K Awards Ceremony will begin around 9:00 am (depending on runner performance and completion time), closely followed by the 10-Mile Awards Ceremony.

Don't forget to keep your bib after the race! Your bib number will also act as your raffle ticket for our Giveaways from local sponsors such as the YMCA, Bluepoint, Osprey Point, Harbor Shack and more!

NEW THIS YEAR: The Radcliffe Creek Herons have launched a fundraising initiative where ANY donation of $2 or more earns a runner a Super Heron cape! These light-weight super hero capes can blow in the wind while you and your family participate in the 5K and show off your inner-Super Hero. Bring a few dollars and join in on the fun!
ALSO NEW THIS YEAR: As part of our push to make the run even more family-friendly, we'll be introducing mini-games for kids of all ages right by the playground! We'll get warmed-up before the race, flex our Silly muscle while adults run the route, and cool down before the awards ceremony. 

RETURNING THIS YEAR: We will have the Kona Shaved Ice Truck at our Finish Line! 

All runners will receive one complimentary small shaved ice from Kona Ice. THE BOTTOM PORTION OF YOUR BIB IS YOUR TICKET TO RECEIVE THIS. Please note that your sweet treat ticket is redeemable exclusively at Wilmer Park on the morning of the race.  Ice cream/italian ice will be available for purchase by those people who are not registered to run.

We are excited to announce the return of the Run For Radcliffe 10 Mile/5k event, as a part of the Chestertown Tea Party. Please join us on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, when we take off from Wilmer Park and head out in to the beautiful Kent County Countryside.

ANY DONATION and you'll earn your very own Super Heron cape!!$100 gets you all of the above plus an RCS car magnet!$250 earns you a Radcliffe Creek Water Bottle, too!$500 and we'll put all your goodies in one of our Radcliffe Creek Drawstring Backpacks!!$1000 fundraisers will receive an awesome Radcliffe Creek Ridge Cooler -- just in time for summer!
