Super Hero 5K Run/Walk and Kids Field Day Event

The Superhero Event is being held in Memory of and to celebrate Matthew W. Stahl's birthday! Our event is held on the 4th Saturday in June, rain or shine at Bridgewater Church 10142 State Rt 167 Montrose, PA 18801  Our 2024 event is on June 22nd. Our beneficiary is CareNet Pregnancy Center of NEPA

Care Net is a non-profit resource center whose mission is to promote a culture of life within our community by providing help and hope to anyone with pregnancy, parenting, relationship, or post-abortive issues. We offer a hand-up through our Earn While You Learn/Bright Course program. Women and men learn about pregnancy, parenting, and healthy relationships while we offer emotional and physical support through our educational incentive program. They can then use the incentive points (Care Net Cash) in our Baby Boutique to purchase items they need for their babies.

Raffles are drawn at 10:45 am THE DETAILS: Day of Registration and preregistration check-in. Waivers must be signed for children to participate in kids' activities. If minors would like to walk the 5k course with their parents, they do not need to register for the run/walk, however, they will not receive a bib nor will they be timed and eligible for runners' awards. 5K run/walk: $30 per registrant, MWS Race Team members receive a $5 discount (automatically deducted at check-out) Raffle baskets: General Raffles are $1/Ticket or 6 tickets for $5; Special raffles are $5/ticket. Sales open at 8 am. Winners will be drawn after awards at approximately 10:45 am. You do not have to be present to win. $5 Lunch includes: Chicken Spiedie sub, soda, and chips (can be pre-purchased during registration for any run/walk and kids events) FREE kids' activities (open throughout the whole event, must sign a waiver)  FREE Kids fun run, following 5K (must sign a waiver, register for free online to skip the lines the day of) FREE Ice Cream Sundaes  The Check presentation to 2023’s beneficiary: Friends of Salt Springs State Park Medals for overall M & F and top 3 M & F in all age groups:
 (14 & Under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+) Prizes for best costume! (can include our 4-legged friends).   We encourage EVERYONE to wear a Superhero Costume, Cape, or t-shirt!!!!
