Soar Like an Eagle 5k

Brought to you by: Eden Gardens Magnet Elementary School   EGM is proud to host the 4th annual “Soar like an Eagle 5K. Join us to gather the community for an opportunity to run, race and have a good time. The Eagle family has shown what it means to be a family this last year and leaders in education. All proceeds will enrich the future leaders from our school towards educational needs at this time. Thank you for supporting this exciting event and a local school in the community. 

 

Course Description: 5K Run: The 5k Run will begin in the parking lot of Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club and run through Spring Lake neighborhood and back to the tennis club.                                       ½ Mile Kids Fun Run: The Fun Run will start and end at the Tennis club.

 

Entry Fee: 5K Registration: All ages can register for the 5K                                       Registration-$20 through Monday, April 1st (includes T-shirt)                                       Late Registration-$25 Tuesday, April 2nd through Race Day

 

Sleep in Supporter: If you cannot be there, but still wanted to show support. Pricing schedule is the same as the 5K registration. (You will still receive a t-shirt.)

 

1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run: The Fun Run will start and end at the Tennis club. ½ Mile Fun Run Registration: $15 through Monday, April 1st (includes T-Shirt).  ½ Mile Fun Run late registration: $20 Monday, April 2nd through Race Day.

 

Race Packet Pick-Up: Pre-registered participants will receive an official race t-shirt. ·          Thursday, April 11th, noon – 6 p.m. at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport 71105            
           Friday, April 12th, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Sportspectrum ·          Race day from 7 a.m.-7:45 a.m. at race site, POTC - 578 Spring Lake Drive, Shreveport 71106

 

Join the Eagle families after the race for awards, water, snacks and music!

 

Awards: 5K: Overall male and female winners will receive $100 gift card to Sportspectrum. 1st and 2nd place male and female 5K winners determined by the following age 
divisions: 6-under; 7-8; 9-10; 11-12; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69, 70+

 

1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run Awards: Fun Run certificates will be given to each participant. Top 5 boys and Top 5 girls will receive a medal!

 

IF your child would like to RACE the 5k, please sign them up for the 5k and not the Fun Run.  Fun Run runners will receive a certificate but do not qualify for age group awards.
