Rolling Boil 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Wheel Saturday, May 20, 2023  Sugar Mill Pond 100 Waterview Rd. Youngsville, LA  70592   Race Details: Race Day Check-in:    7:00 am  5K Race Start:             8:30 am Fun Run Start:            9:45 am   Rolling Boil 5K Fundraiser Run and Crawfish Boil presented by Cajun Wheelers.  For the "Fun Run/Wheel"  wheelchairs, roller skates, and skateboards are welcome (no bicycles please)?   Crawfish tickets must be pre-ordered and will not be available for sale on the day of the race.  Purchase tickets by clicking on the Crawfish Tickets button to the left of the page or during your registration for the race.     Crawfish will be served following the 1 Mile Fun Run/Wheel.  For $20 you will receive 3 lbs. of Crawfish, Corn, and Potato.    Drinks will be available for purchase at the race.       Registration Fees: Fun Run - Now till April 29th  -         $20                   April 30th - May 18th -     $25 5K     -      Now till April 29th  -          $25                  April 30th - May 18th  -     $35    5K Teams  -  Now till May 18th  -     $100 for 5 people on the team.   We are offering a discount to teams of 5 for the 5K race.  Gather up your family and/or friends and form a team to run in the 5K to get the discounted price of $100.  You must register all 5 people at the same time.      T-shirt sizes are guaranteed if registered by May 4, 2023.   Packet Pickup (Location, Date & Time): 5/19 -  Saint Anne's Church Parish Hall located at 201 Church Street, Youngsville, LA 70592 from 4:30pm - 7:30pm Race day, 5/20 at Sugar Mill Pond starting at 7:00 am   Age Groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30- 39, etc. 70+    Awards: 5K:  Top Overall Male & Female, & 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Male & Female each age group     The  race benefits Cajun Wheelers.  

We strive to provide a fun and rewarding opportunity for youth with disabilities across the state of Louisiana.  Cajun Wheelers is a registered team with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association.  Cajun Wheelers Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers the opportunity for young athletes with lower limb disabilities to play competitive wheelchair basketball. We aim to create an environment that inspires personal growth and develops perseverance by encouraging our athletes to pursue freedom and enjoyment. We are a member of the Junior Division of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) and the only youth team in the State of Louisiana. We welcome boys and girls ages 6-18 for our prep and varsity teams. Developed for youth with permanent lower limb disabilities, we strive to provide the opportunity for a program that will develop fundamental skills needed in basketball and everyday life. Our vision is for our athletes to go far beyond basketball and apply the skills they learn to all aspects of life. They will develop friendships, build courage, and experience freedom, joy, and independence.
