Kappa Delta Shamrock 5k Run

The Sigma Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta at Auburn University will host its 30th Annual Shamrock 5k Run to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America and to locally support Special Deliveries of Lee County. Kappa Delta will host its 5k run on Saturday, March 16, 2024. The Shamrock Project is a national Kappa Delta program, that both collegian and alumnae support, to raise money for the national and local child abuse prevention organizations.

This year, we are offering two different registration prices: student and regular. If you are a student, the registration fee is $15 and this does not include a t-shirt. Use code "student15" at checkout to get this discounted price. If you are not a student, the registration fee is $30 and does include a t-shirt. These online registrants receive a complimentary t-shirt with their registration with sizes ranging from S to 3XL. The complimentary t-shirt will only be given to those who register before March 5th. These will be available at both Packet Pick-up on Friday, March 15th, or at Race Day Check-in. If you did not pre-register, we cannot guarantee we will have a shirt available for you.

Online Race Registration Closes Wednesday, 3/13/2024 at 11:59 P.M.

Registration is also available onsite on the day of the race starting at 6:45 A.M. Look for the registration tent close to the start line of the race. Day of Race Registration will cost $45 and will be Venmo or PayPal only. 

Day of Race Instructions: The run will be held on March 16th at the corner of W. Thach and Wire Road. It is located next to the Sigma Nu fraternity house. The run will begin promptly at 8 A.M., so we suggest arriving a little earlier to check-in. Please stay after you cross the finish line for age group awards. 

Race Packets: Race packets will be available at Packet Pick-Up in The Village, Leischuck Hall- Friday, March 15th from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Race day registration and packet pick-up at the starting line at Thatch and Wire Road will be on Saturday, March 16th from 6:45 - 7:45 am. All t-shirt orders MUST be picked up at one of these times. Orders will not be shipped or mailed out. 

Awards: Awards will be presented to the first-place male and female finishers in the following age groups:

14 & under, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61 & up
