I Run For... 5K

Enjoy a lovely Sunday morning run in Dorchester Park!  Our 5K has some inclines (nothing horrible), is overall pretty fast, and it's completely off the road so you won't have to worry about car traffic. This out-and-back run starts near the boat launch and uses the paved path going to the reservoir. The turnaround point is at the end of the paved path, just before Keibel Road. See a map of our course. Runners must be at least age 10 to participate (parent permission needed for runners 10-17).

In keeping with our mission, net proceeds from our race will benefit A Room to Heal and The James Cancer Center at The Ohio State University.

Although our preference is to have a traditional race in which everyone competes at the same time, we may need to split this event into "waves" if size limits are imposed on gatherings in the park. 

Register before 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 20, and you'll receive a race T-shirt at no additional cost.  Starting Aug. 21, orders/requests for T-shirts will not be accommodated.

TEAM SPIRIT CHALLENGE
We know you have spirit, so get your workmates, family and/or friends together and come represent at the 2021 I Run For… 5K. You can show your colors in our Team Spirit Challenge. Instead of recognizing the team with the fastest times, we want to offer a prize true to the spirit of “all faces, all paces.” The team that brings the most runners to our event will get a cool trophy and bragging rights. On top of that, we’ll give a portion of our net proceeds to the cancer-related charity of the winning team’s choice. When you register, make sure to enter your group’s name, so you’ll be counted in the Team Spirit Challenge. Discounted entries are available for groups of more than 10 runners.
