Hattiesburg Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K

The 13th annual Hattiesburg Half Marathon • 10k • 5k is set for Saturday, April 5, 2025. The race provides fundraising opportunities for participating Pine Belt nonprofits, while also attracting runners to the Hub City from numerous states. Online registration opens Sunday , Aug. 31, for all three race routes.  

The Hattiesburg Half Marathon • 10k • 5k course highlights iconic local landmarks and engages Hattiesburg businesses. The 2025 course will once again wind through downtown, head toward the Avenues, and loop around the Hattiesburg Zoo. A portion of the route also tours The University of Southern Mississippi’s campus before runners blaze down the Longleaf Trace to the finish line.  

Each local nonprofit benefiting from the race in 2025 will also “own” a mile by decorating it and cheering on runners as they pass through. 

A charity runner is a registered race participant who chooses to fundraise on behalf of one of the  non-profits participating in the Hattiesburg Half Marathon · 10K · 5K. Charity runners form an alliance with the 501(c)3 of their choosing and provide financial and social engagement support. By choosing to become a charity runner, participants are committing their time, fundraising efforts and personal allegiance to the charity’s mission. 

The most important part of this opportunity is your support. Share your goal with your social media followers, the mission of your selected nonprofit, and/or a personal testimony. Challenge your followers to donate. Make it fun! Are you willing to run in a costume? Jump in a pool of jello? What will inspire your followers to support you? There may be a prize for the charity runner who raises the most.
