Galloping Gertie Half Marathon

Join us for a unique running event in Tacoma and Gig Harbor, offering spectacular views from the iconic Tacoma Narrows Bridge, also called Galloping Gertie. Participants get to enjoy the stunning Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, and the Olympic Mountains as they traverse one of the world’s famous suspension bridges. Named after its tendency to sway in the wind, the bridge gained notoriety following its 1940 collapse due to aeroelastic flutter.
