Welcome to the 3nd annual Arnold Rim Trail Endurance Runs produced by Pacific Coast Trail Runs in conjunction with the Arnold Rim Trail Association, White Pines Park Committee, Calaveras Visitors Bureau, Vallecito Union School District, the US Forest Service, and surrounding communities. There will be 4 events, the 37 miler, half marathon, 10K,and the just recently added "point-to-point" 22 Miler because ARTA built another 4 miles. The 37M, Half Marathon, and 10K will start and finish at White Pines Lake Park. The 37 miler runs to the Heliport Aid Station and back on the Arnold Rim Trail. In 2022, the Heliport was the end of the ART. The half and 10K are also out and back courses. The half marathon turns around at Cougar Rock Aid Station and the 10K turnarounds at Post #8 Aid Station of the Arnold Rim Trail.  While mostly single-track and under the canopy of many different trees, we can safely say that this multi use trail (Horse, MTB, Hiking and Running) is more like a double wide single-track for ease of use. Arnold, at 4,000 feet of elevation, with pristine trails that have been well manicured, and amazing support from the community, we are ready for our next adventure with you.

6 years ago, while visiting family in Angel's Camp, I stumbled upon the Arnold Rim Trail on my phone. I somehow convinced everyone in my family that we must go see this trail the same weekend. Pulling up to the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum, Jenny and I immediately went to the trailhead and saw a map on a kiosk. Then, we noticed there was a group of people that were responsible for making this happen - more than a group, a community.

Thank you Arnold Rim Trail Association (ARTA) for helping us get to the start line. Together, we will all get to the finish line. In 2007, when ARTA had the first meeting, they have set the standard for coming together with city, county, state, and federal officials to make this trail something special. And, they have more trail to build. For years to come, we look forward to creating something special with all of those that are supporting this event.

Special Thanks to the Steve Lauterbach, Greg Novacek, and the rest of the team at the Arnold Rim Trail Association.Special Thanks to the Calaveras Amateur Radio Society and Ebbets Pass Fire Department for safety & on course communications.Special Thanks to the White Pines Lake Park, Fischer Elementary and the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum for allowing us to park and celebrate. NEW FOR 2023 - A "Point-to-Point" 22 miler. "Point-to-point" race is defined as start and finish in two different locations. The Finish Line is the same for all. POST-RACE BBQ at the LAKE:

Food Network Celebrity Chef Yaku Moton-Spruill and PCTR co-owner will be ready to fill your bellies after the race.

PLAN YOUR TRIP NOW:

The staging for the start-finish line is amazing. We will be 10 feet from the shoreline of the lake and you will find it soothing before or after your race. Sun or shade, take your pick as  you will be able to relax when you cross that Finishline. Plan on getting in the water to cool down and play under the sun. Whether planning a day trip or weekend trip to Arnold and White Pines Lake and Park, please start to plan now and put these items aside or in your vehicle now:

Folding Chair.Floating Device – Tube, raft, kayak, stand-up paddle board.Bathing Suit  & Towel.Change of clothes and a positive attitude. For you day trippers, please plan enough time to drive from Nevada or California as the roads. Not sure Ebbets Pass will be open yet.

For those traveling far, I would get on VRBO.com or AirBNB.com and start looking for a cozy cabin to relax in for the weekend. Before checking in to your cabin or motel, make sure you go by the lake Friday Morning to see the start – finish line area. Perhaps you spend a few hours at the lake or nearby Sierra Nevada Logging Museum. Perhaps you head back to nearby Angels Camp or Murphy’s towns to catch up on your gold rush history. Did you know about Mark Twain and Frog Jumping? Calaveras Big Trees? Ironstone Vineyard and concert venue? There are so many cool things to see around your race.
