514 5K & 1/2 Marathon

The Lt. Aaron Salters Memorial Scholarship foundation is sponsoring the first annual Bruce Smith Celebrity 1/2 Marathon & 5K. This event was especially created in memoriam for the victims of the devastating acts of violence that transpired on 5/14/2022. Proceeds from this event will be used to provide annual scholarships to City of Buffalo high school seniors in the name of Lt. Aaron Salter, who gave his life trying to protect others and save lives. Please support this most worthy cause by participating in this event or donating to the Lt. Aaron Salters Memorial Scholarship Fund.

If you are running the 1/2 marathon the start line will be in front of Canisius College 2001 Main st at Jefferson Ave, at 7:00am  and will go south to W.Delavan then west. If you plan on running the 5K it will start (9:00am) and finish in Delaware park, there will be parking in the lot’s of Canisius College adjacent( Lyon’s lot) to the start of the race and also Medaille College lots  18 Agassiz circle. We will have shuttle buses that will take you to your vehicles after the race .There will be music ,food  pre and post race ,tents and an after party at St. George Orthodox Church 2 Nottingham terrace . Chairs and umbrellas are welcomed. “Swag” bags will be given to the first 250 people that register early ,The bag will contain the bag itself, race t-shirt, water bottle and wristband. There will be a pickup date so that registrants can get their packets before the race
