Thornton Turkey Trot

The Thornton Turkey Trot is Illinois' oldest endurance event, celebrating decades of athletic excellence in the south suburbs. Attracting top runners annually, participants traverse a historic course renowned in the athletic community. The event features competitions for high school teams, with points awarded based on a minimum of three athletes per school. Proceeds from the event support the Winged Foot Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing athletic and educational opportunities for student athletes in Chicago. All finishers receive medals, and top finishers in various age categories earn additional accolades.
