About the event

Experience one of the most rewarding and challenging events of the year with international runners from around the world, in the Singapore Marathon. This IAAF Gold Label Road Race is an annual event that offers a range of races for athletes of all abilities, including a marathon, a 10k and a half marathon.

Participants of the full marathon should be prepared to take on the substantial distance and accept the mental and physical strain of several months of dedicated training. For those who are new to the sport, the shorter race distances provide a suitable starting point and a gentler introduction to the marathon.

The race draws a large number of runners each year, as they come together to take on the challenge and surpass their individual goals. For those who go the distance, the feeling of crossing the finish line is an incredibly rewarding personal accomplishment.

A nice city but too hot. The route is nice. But some water stations are out of Gel. It's also too crowded so sometimes I could not take over.

Hot as hell. Indeed, you will be running in the most prestigious area of Singapore down-town with no traffic at all. That is something, which i have never experienced before. But talking about the weather, believe me, you would never ever want to join this race in the upcoming year. It was sò hot, and very humid. You need to drink a lot, and pour your body with gallons of water to rehydrated. I mean it.

The route is awesome, but the weather is not!

Hot and humid

Well organized race and run in the evening for the first time. Extremely hot conditions with high humidity makes this this a much slower race overall. Lack of transport options at the end was a major concern

Great race! Awesome views and so glad they move this to an evening start vs early morning. Expect extreme conditions (hot & humid) - not the race for the faint-hearted.

Super hot humid weather makes it harder to run. Killer up-slope of highway at about 35km. Once is enough.
