the start timing and the direction towards we run for 10km need to be compulsorily refrained. it must be earlier to avoid the heat of sun towards our face.

Wrong time of year. Too hot, and as such, there were not enough water stations, only 5k apart and 7 im some cases in 30+ heat and 70% humidity- markers off, which if you were doing the full meant more than a few km extra at end. Only water and some coke at 20plus. Unnamed sachets and no crowds after 10k. People were falling over, heat exhaustion and lack of hydration because of the poor stations.

They forget about you after you pass 10km, because that’s where the ideal landscape is for media. No crowds, no stations and you are on your own.

The route was flat and fine, but there was no shade for the majority of the route. This would have been fine, but there was no water stations after the halfway point. Many runners were dehydrated toward the end of the race, as our water bottles had run out after the last water station (5km). Please consider spreading the hydrations stations out more carefully - especially if it is an open/full sun course. I enjoyed the race village, entertainment was enjoyable and the range of vendors was great.

The 10k started at 8am which felt much too late for the weather. It was sweltering by the end of the race. A 7am start time would have been much more appropriate.

The event was well organized with all the logistics in place. the atmosphere was electric and everything was just fantastic.

I did the half marathon just to challenge myself in the area of endurance and also as a personal goal for 2022. It was tough and brought the best out of me. I felt very happy when I finished the race

Muscat as a city is a very peaceful city. Being in it is just pleasant. I would have personally preferred to run close to the city icons like Sultan Mosque or the Opera House. The current route was fine along the sea but still could be more creative. Anyhow, I recommend it to the first timers due to being well organized and simple.

Half Marathon is for people who like long distance still not as long as 42 kilometers.
