Spread Love and run a 5K for Mental Health in Arlington, Texas.
There is a quiet epidemic plaguing the Black and African American community known as Mental Illness. This epidemic affects the lives of millions of individuals and families, even affecting those who are called to serve and heal these silent sufferers. Mental Illness is defined as health conditions involving changes in emotion, thinking or behavior (or a combination of these). Mental illnesses are associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social, work or family activities.
We are hosting our 1st Annual Spread Love Run for Mental Health in Arlington, Texas! The Spread Love Run is designed to raise awareness and funds for partnering organizations to carry out their mission to financially support individuals recovering from mental health issues. The impact of mental illness is felt not only by the individuals overcoming, but by our communities as a whole.
