Bongmusa Mthembu outpaced more then 16844 runners to win in 05:26:34, winning the race for the third time. Joseph Mphuthi secured second in this year’s race with a time of 05:35:09. Steven Way (05:35:27) made notched third place.
In the women’s race, Ann Ashworth finished first in 06:10:04 , followed by Gerda Steyn who finished with a time of 06:15:34. Rounding out the top three was Alexandra Morozova with a time of 06:20:21.
