Y'all! It's the 20th Anniversary of Stump Jump, so we're going back to our roots. The 50K course will go back to the original route and we'll have a cash podium this year. You don't want to miss this!
Description
The premier 50K trail race in the Southeast, StumpJump 50K presented by Bad Beard Events, takes place on 90% single-track course atop Signal Mountain and Walden Ridge. With gorgeous, jaw-dropping views of the Tennessee River Gorge, and lush coves of cascading streams, hemlock, and rhododendron, these sandstone-strewn trails offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cumberland Plateau region. This race is in its 20th running and has stood the test of time with locals and runners from across the world.
This is a perfect course for someone doing their first or 500th ultra.

This race sells out every year SO sign up right now!
The 50k race is 95% single track and about 6,500 ft of gain and the same loss. It has a great mix of technical, flat, rolling hills and climbing.
The 10 miler is a loop that is 95% single track as well. It is technical in parts and rolling hills with no more than 1500 ft of gain. JOIN US!

6:00pm-8:00 pm: Packet-pickup at R/C Northshore store (301 Manufacturers Rd, 37405$ We will have Chattanooga Brewing Company beer, random draw prizes, and answer any runner questions. Come be part of the Rock/Creek Trail Running family!

6:30 am-7:15 am: StumpJump Packet pickup at start/finish line (Signal Mountain Middle High School Soccer Pavilion)
50K start time - 7:30am EST
We will not hold the race for late arrivals. Please arrive EARLY. Packet Pickup will open at 6:30 am sharp.

We will not hold the race for late arrivals. Please arrive EARLY.
Camping/Where to Stay
Camping will be available at the S/F. Tent set up is on the soccer fields. There are no RV hookups but RV's are allowed. No showers but access to many bathrooms at the pavilion. If you are interested in camping on Friday or Saturday night, please email [email protected]. Cost is $10 per night and will go to Signal Mountain School. 2650 Sam Powell Dr, Signal Mountain, TN 37377
It’s about a 20 minute drive from downtown Chattanooga to the start. The hotels downtown are all wonderful and I’d check Airbnb’s on Signal Mountain if you want to stay close but not camp.

All races start and finish at the Signal Mountain Soccer Fields behind Signal Mountain High School on Sam Powell Rd . Times subject to change.
We will have The North Face, Salomon, Arcteryx, Black Diamond, Subaru and other vendor booths on site.
**NO CREWS. NO POLES**
**DROP BAGS ALLOWED AT SNOOPERS AND MULLENS**
EXTRAS: All runners will receive shirts, medals, a post race meal, a free beer from Chattanooga Brewing with bib, & a free shower with bib at Highpoint Climbing Gym on Broad St downtown Chattanooga.
Cutoff Times
The 2020 Stump Jump 50k will have an 10 HOUR cut-off.
Indian Rock House (Outbound) @ mile 14.2......4 hour cut-off........
Mullen's Cove Parking lot @ mile 22.8.......7:15 hr cut-off..........
Please be respectful of race officials if you are asked to drop - no discussion. You will be provided with transportation back to the start/finish.
Again, there is a 10 hour cutoff time at finish (5:30pm). This averages out to over 16 minutes per mile pace. This is not a hike so please be respectful and do not sign up for this event if you plan to walk most of the course.
Cut off time for the 10 miler is 4 hours. This is not a walker-friendly course.
Refunds / Transfers / Deferments
There are NO refunds, transfers or deferments. We do not have the capacity to mail awards, shirts, forgotten gear etc. Thank you for understanding.
Proceeds
Race proceeds will benefit the Land Trust of Tennessee.
