Abdi Nageeye nabbed first place with a time of 29:50 at the Morrisons Great North 10K, a race that ends inside the Gateshead International Stadium in England.
Taking second by a second, Mark Christie beat out last year’s runner-up Matthew Hynes with a time of 30:09.
In the women’s race Fionnuala Mcormack’s 33:19 highlighted a trio of three runners to finish under 40 minutes.
Alex Sneddon came in second with a time of 37:32 and Michelle Nolan managed third with a 37:49 finish.
