This year was another success for the 44th edition of the GutsMuths-Rennsteiglauf Marathon, with more then 16,400 finishers in the different races.
Marathon
Marcel Krieghoff took top spot in 02:36:45. Moritz Auf der Heide secured second in this year’s race with a time of 02:41:54Finishing third was Christoph Weigel (02:42:32).
For the women, Annika Krull claimed victory with a time of 03:08:56 . She bested Kristin Hempel who crossed the finish line 6 minutes 54 seconds behind her. Finishing third was Bianca Josten (03:18:08).

Super Marathon
Marc Schulze got a win, finishing with a time of 05:17:38. Coming in second was Eike Loch (05:22:36). The third place went to Andreas Probst with a time of 05:28:17
For the women, Daniela Oemus finished first in 05:55:38 . She finished 38 minutes 8 seconds ahead of Marita Wahl. Finishing third was Patricia Rolle (06:36:44).

Halbmarathon
Marcel Bräutigam got a win, finishing with a time of 01:10:46. He bested Thomas Kühlmann who crossed the finish line one minute 54 seconds behind him. Rounding out the top three was Tom Thurley with a time of 01:13:27.
For the women, Nicole Kruhme claimed victory with a time of 01:21:50 , followed by Nora Kusterer who finished with a time of 01:22:20. Anne Barber got the third place in 01:22:50.
