Summer Splash 5K - Albany, GA

The Summer Splash 5K will be an early afternoon race run from Mary Young Cummings Park, down Martin Luther King Jr. Road to Robert Cross Park. The day will begin with a high-intensity workout to get the blood flowing, immediately followed by race registration and the race. Meanwhile, at Robert Cross Park, there will be a wide range of activities for the whole family; including vendors & food trucks, water slides and water balloon fights, a back-to-school supply drive, a fresh produce giveaway, and more! The day’s festivities will last from 9am until 2pm.

The Summer Splash 5K is organized by Albany Forward. The Albany Forward Consortium is a group of community leaders, business owners, concerned citizens, and elected officials with the shared goal of moving #AlbanyForward. We’ve observed the neglect and decline of the South & East sides of town and are passionate about making impactful change and sustainable growth for the most disadvantaged parts of Albany. Our mission is to galvanize community action to take an active role in moving Albany Forward. Our vision is returning Albany to the regional hub of commerce and innovation that it was founded to be. We are partnering with several notable organizations to make this event a reality. We're working with Reginald’s Safe Haven to organize and facilitate the charitable aspects of the events. Reginald’s Safe Haven is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to championing the causes of neurodivergent children and families.
