This fun-run tests athletic abilities and promotes teamwork with a military inspired, 5K, obstacle course that will leave participants muddy and feeling accomplished
Greenville, OH (June 26, 2015)…The Light Foundation is excited to announce The 4th Annual Gauntlet 5k Adventure Race Presented by Reinhart Food Services, taking place at Chenoweth Trails in Greenville, Ohio on Saturday, August 8th, 2015. The Gauntlet is full of military-inspired obstacles and promises to challenge participants as they use teamwork to move through the course. The more they conquer, the MUDDIER they will get! Even those not running can have a great day as this is an event with fun and festivities for the whole family!

The 5K Run will kick off at 10:00 a.m., with waves running every 20 minutes. Registration for The Gauntlet will include a T-shirt, medal and beverage token. The top 2 male & female finishers will be recognized in the following age categories: 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; and a CASH PRIZE of $100 to the Top Overall Finisher. Awards will also be presented to the Top Team participating and competing for the Team/Corporate and School Challenge.
If getting dirty isn’t your forte, you can still have a great time! Athletes and spectators alike are encouraged to attend the event. The Gauntlet isn’t just a mud run, it’s also home to a full day of entertainment that is FREE to anyone who attends. Gauntlet events include bands, great food, raffle prizes, 50/50 chances, a beer tent and special surprise guest appearances.
Organizers have also thought of the little ones with a FREE Kid Care Venue, where certified sitters and volunteers will provide a safe and entertaining atmosphere for participants’ kids. Light Foundation Founder Matt Light, a three time Super Bowl winner and former New England Patriot, urges everyone to come out and cheer on Gauntlet runners. “Spectators will have an amazing view of the final obstacles, as they cross the finish line for a great cause. It’s just a really fun day for anyone who attends, whether competing or not.”
