Out for more than 750 participants, runner-up Ethan Heywood (1:09:58.78) was the only other runner to come in under an hour and 10 minutes.
Liam Fuery rounded out the top three, coming in at 1:15:24.28.
For the women, it was Katey Gibb cutting closer to five minutes from her third-place finish a year ago, to take the top spot with a time of 1:18:40.79.
Jules Bennett (1:19:23.29) beat Rochelle Rodgers (1:20:09.26) by less than a minute to secure second.
