Edward Catmur (18:02:00) cut an hour and 14 from his fourth-place finish a year ago, to win the North Downs Way 100km in Surrey, England.
He set the course record in 2013 with a time of 15:44:39.
Ally Watson finished the race around Farnham’s country side in 18:11:15, good for second.
Jeremy Isaac (18:56:54) repeated in third despite finishing more than 55 minutes slower than the year before.
For the women, it was Sally Ford (19:20:40) ahead of the field by almost two hours.
Maryann Devally took second with a time of 21:17:56.
Mari Mauland (21:24:37) rounded out the top three.
She was the only other runner to come in under 23 hours.
