Half Marathon results
Said Aitadi (1:03:25) finished ahead of a field of more than 4,400 to win the Medio Maraton Nacional Ciudad de Getafe in Madrid, Spain.
Runner-up Mohamed Blal (1:03:36) cut close to a minute from his third-place finish a year ago.
In a tight race for third, Gizaw Bekele (1:04:58) managed to hold off Robbie Simpson (1:05:04) and Jose Carlos Hernandez Cabrera (1:05:07).
Bekele finished sixth a year ago.
For the women, it was Sonia Bejarano Sanchez (1:14:08) edging Estela Navascues Parra (1:14:13) to take the top spot.
Cristina Jordan Priales came in a close third at 1:15:12.
