François D’Haene outran roughly 1688 runners to win with a time of 23:44:57, followed by Antoine Guillon who finished with a time of 24:15:22. This is the third victory for François after his wins in 2013 and 2014. He had taken the lead early on and finished the 167 km race with 9700m of elevation gain quite exhausted. Rounding out the top three was Javier Dominguez-Ledo with a time of 24:36:24.
In the women’s race, Andrea Huser took top spot in 27:44:13 , followed by Juliette Blanchet who finished with a time of 29:26:07. Emma Roca got the third place in 30:10:53.
