Born from the vision of two Oklahoma businessmen during a morning run, this event has blossomed into a beacon of unity and remembrance led by a dedicated team of volunteer chairmen and a passionate volunteer crew. Since its humble beginnings with nearly 5,000 participants, it now attracts over 23,000 runners and walkers from across the United States and beyond, emphasizing its mission to honor memories, inspire hope, and promote global solidarity.

Proceeds benefit the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum, with the marathon organized by OKC Marathon, Inc., a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) entity committed to maximizing financial support for this noble cause.
