About the event
Join us on September 7, 2024, for the First Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in the Town of Vinton where every step counts in the fight against breast cancer! After the walk, stick around for our vibrant after-party featuring local businesses, music, and a breathtaking sunset. Together, we can raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and support those still fighting. Roads will begin to close at 4:30 pm and we anticipate to step off at 5:30 pm returning to the Farmers Market just after Sunset. See you there!
T-shirts for the event will be provided in your participant packet. You will receive notice when you can pick up the packet. T-shirts are guaranteed if registered by the deadline of August 24, 2024.
All donations go towards the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. The money raised is used to provide Virginians with knowledge and a voice on the breast cancer journey. They offer individualized resource coordination, free breast health educational materials, newly diagnosed, caregiver, and survivorship packets, advocacy for improved health public policy and research dollars for the state, and funding for screening and diagnostic breast health services for uninsured and underinsured.
