Athletes, get ready to test your endurance at Lake Mahopac with an event that combines competition and a powerful cause. The TYathlon features a sprint triathlon and a 5K walk/run, all designed to support pediatric cancer research through the Ty Louis Campbell Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell. The sprint triathlon challenges participants with a 1/4 mile swim in Lake Mahopac (in-water start, with waves entering every three minutes), followed by a 10.5 mile bike ride (two laps around the lake), and finishes with a 2.7 mile run along a scenic out-and-back course. For those focusing on the run, the 5K covers the same 2.7 mile course, ensuring athlete safety and a competitive experience. By participating, you’re directly supporting critical research into aggressive childhood cancers, helping to fund innovative treatments and improve survival rates for young patients. The event honors the legacy of Ty Louis Campbell, whose fight against cancer continues to inspire athletes and advocates worldwide. Pre-registration is required, and day-of registration is limited. Event shirts are available while supplies last. Lace up, dive in, and ride for a cause that matters.
