About the event

In light of the ongoing Covid19 pandemic and its negative economic impact on Tunisia, it has been decided to postpone the 7th Carthage Race Marathon, originally scheduled for Sunday 22 May 2022, to 26th February 2023. This will provide more time to find new Tunisian and international sponsors, and ensure the presence of international runners from all over the world, creating a successful and beneficial event for all involved. We greatly appreciate your understanding, trust, and cooperation as we work towards establishing an international 42Km Carthage Marathon that meets everyone's goals.

Nice course that included historical sites. Water stations were well spaced out. Water, sponges and food were plentiful. An odd station ran our of water but that was later replenished. Guidance from volunteers was excellent, which was needed for a complicated course layout.

The Race Director knew his onions. He responded promptly to all my enquiries from when registration was to be opened to enquiries about having a special number and to facilitating my visa on arrival to Tunisia. Dates, raisins, bananas and water was in abundant supply on the course and the volunteers were very supportive. Though there was no crowd support or entertainment along the marathon route, Organisation was well above average.

We ran several loops around the ruins of historical carthage
