About the event
Do you remember 1981? Raiders of the Lost Ark made its debut in theaters, the Space Shuttle Columbia made its debut in outer space, and the Talking Book Center made its debut in Staunton. For 40 years the Talking Book Center has provided free audio books and other reading materials to blind, vision-impaired, and print disabled community members, and we are throwing a party!
Join us on October 23 for our totally tubular 80s themed 5k/Fun Run and Celebration! It's just a casual event so we won't be timing you, but feel free to time yourself. Roll, stroll, saunter, or mosey... do what you want and have fun!
Wear your best 80s outfit and have a blast!
The Talking Book Center provides free audio books and other library services and resources to person who are blind, print disabled, or unable to use standard printed materials. The TBC operates as a subregional library of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.
