Course highlights
The marathon - 42.2 KM Start and finish in the city centre The marathon distance consists of the two half marathons, the 3-Lake Race 2022 edition and the Stavanger Half Marathon. There is approximately 330 meters of elevation gain along the way. The race is recommended for anyone who wants to experience the beautiful natural areas Stavanger has to offer. Just over half the race is on asphalt, the rest on very runable gravel. You run around the 3 lakes, and along both Hafrsfjord and Gandsfjorden. We think many people will enjoy running a little later than they might be able to on a good day. Instead, enjoy the surroundings and take in the joy of being able to keep up the pace all the way! Half marathon - 21 KM Start and finish in the city center The trail takes you up to Mosvatnet. This year we take the straight road out. Then you will pass the mighty "Swords in the Mountains" along Hafrsfjord. Then the trip starts downhill to the beautiful bike path along Gandsfjorden. In total, the trail has about 160 meters of climb, many of which come at the start. So don't run stiffly here. 80% of the trail is on asphalt, the rest on gravel. 5 km Starts at Mariero station, finish in the city center. This year we are moving the start back to Mariero station and running the last 5 km of the marathon course. V offers cruises at the following times: 20, 25, 30 and 35 minutes
